What does it really mean to get rich? For many, it’s just a number on a bank statement. But for me, wealth is a mindset shift—an act of self-love. It’s about believing that I deserve more, not just financially but in every aspect of life—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. When I changed my mindset, I transformed my life, unlocking financial freedom, by simply choosing to love myself enough to demand more.

Wealth is a Mindset

Becoming wealthy isn’t only about accumulating money; it’s about cultivating abundance in all areas of life. True wealth is prioritizing self-care, setting strong boundaries, communicating clearly, upholding high standards, and practicing self-discipline. When I embraced my self-worth, I realized that wealth meant abundant joy, gratitude, and fulfilling relationships.

For me, getting rich wasn’t about the money at all—it was about becoming the most abundant version of myself. And I want that for every woman out there: abundant joy, peace, gratitude, nourishing friendships, and loving relationships. You can’t maintain healthy, abundant relationships with others if you don’t first embody the behaviors of someone who has high self-worth. You can’t receive love and wealth if you don’t believe you deserve them.

My Struggle: From Illness to Self-Love

In my early 20s, I was chronically ill. It wasn’t just physical illness; it was emotional and mental too. I didn’t know how to love myself, and I certainly didn’t know I had the power to rewrite my own story. I had no idea I could demand more from my job, ask for love and attention from my partner, or redefine my boundaries with family to make space for myself.

But everything changed when I started setting boundaries. Boundaries are the distance at which you can love yourself and have extra to pour into others. When I prioritized my well-being, I created space for abundance to flow into my life. This shift was the foundation for my journey to becoming an entrepreneur and creating passive income.

The Shift: Prioritize Yourself, and Abundance Follows

When I made myself my #1 priority, everything changed. I had more energy, more love to give, and yes—more money. My relationship with money shifted from scarcity to abundance. Instead of accepting a $0.40 raise at my job, I recognized my value and negotiated a 20% salary increase. That was my first taste of financial empowerment.

From there on I knew my own worth, and stopped playing small.

Investing in Myself: The Path to Financial Freedom

This newfound mindset led me to a crucial realization: I was done giving my energy to a business that wasn’t mine. I wanted more than just a paycheck. I wanted freedom, control, and the ability to create my own life. I wanted freedom—freedom over my income and the control to create passive income streams. I wanted to heal, thrive, and live the life I dreamed of.

I started investing in my skills, not just to survive, but to thrive. I knew I needed to be my own boss if I was going to fully recover from my chronic illness. I needed to control my own schedule, and I needed a way to make passive income.
